Charities We Support

At Waterfront Club, we want to help all the organizations out there that help keep America’s water clean from coast to coast.  With every purchase you make we donate a portion of the proceeds to the Alliance for the Great Lakes and the Ocean Defenders Alliance.  We also donate a lump sum each year to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation through their BayRaiser platform.  Below is some information about the organizations we’ve chosen that are helping fight to keep America's bodies of water clean of pollution so you can go out and enjoy them!

Chesapeake Bay Foundation

Founded in 1966, the CBF has fought for effective, science-based solutions to the pollution degrading the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams.  The Chesapeake Bay spans a six-state, 64,000-square-mile watershed that is home to more than 18 million people and 3,000 species of plants and animals.  Through education, litigation, and multi-state initiatives that help boost healthy soil, tree lines, and oyster populations this organization is working towards a clean and robust Chesapeake Bay for both terrestrial and aquatic life.

Alliance for the Great Lakes

The Alliance for the Great Lakes is a nonpartisan nonprofit that helps keep the Great Lakes clean, which hold 90% of North America’s fresh surface water.  This fantastic organization helps clean up plastic and agricultural pollution, keeps invasive species out, advocates for clean and safe drinking water infrastructure, and lobbies for environmental justice at the local, state, and federal levels.  They’ve earned three top charitable ratings in recognition of their organizations financial health, accountability, transparency, and feedback from volunteers and donors.

Ocean Defenders Alliance

The ODA’s mission is to work toward clean, healthy marine ecosystems through documentation, education, technology improvements, and meaningful action.  They are an all-volunteer boat and dive crew that specializes in ocean debris removal along the coast of California and throughout Hawaii. This nonprofit's primary goal is to remove man-made pollution from the oceans, leaving marine habitat and wildlife in a safe and thriving environment.  For 23 years they’ve been helping clean up the 800,000 tons of abandoned fishing gear left in our seas annually.
